The service works best with broadband but will work with a dial-up (there are even users who access the service using GPRS on their mobile phone occasionally!). Backups are carried out exactly as you would with your own system, either to a local hard disk or to removable media and you print to your own printer. The service uses 128-bit encryption (similar to on-line banking) or for additional security you can have a Virtual Private Network (for which an additional charge would apply). It is available 24/7 on-line (and can even be used off-line if you have your own licenced copy of the software). Any PC with a recent version of Internet Explorer can be used.
