Experience of a wide range of audit, accountancy and tax matters covering owner managed businesses through to large groups with overseas subsidiaries, quoted companies, UK subsidiaries of overseas parents etc. Major experience in audit of agricultural machinery manufacture, food production and oil industries together with wide experience in the tax consultancy department of a then "Big 6" firm servicing offices throughout the North West.

Primarily responsible for the firm’s insolvency department having started this from a zero base. The department now covers bankruptcy, individual voluntary arrangements, members and creditors voluntary liquidations, compulsory liquidations, administrations, corporate voluntary arrangements and administrative receiverships.

Personal interests

Married to Sheila with one daughter, Katie and one yellow Labrador, Barney. Interests/hobbies include Motor Sport, Country Sports, Fine wine and malt whisky, Horse racing, Skiing, Rotary.
